Apollinaire Guidimbaye, known as Doff

Doff (“madman” in Wolof, born in 1983 in Logone Oriental, southern Chad) is the tenth of twelve children. As a child, he began making toys from recycled objects. Since then, he has continued in this vein, transforming all kinds of salvaged materials (necklaces, beads, spare parts, bullet casings, old chairs, etc.) into works whose essential themes are climate change, immigration and so on.
