The 1970s and 1980s were delightfully light. In those days, Jean-Claude Larrieu traveled a lot, on countless film shoots, but he always returned to his home base on rue de la Goutte d'Or. And there he continued to photograph, calmly, without any “project” obligations, following the rhythm of small, everyday events.
In this building, where everyone had their own place, but where all were friends who shared a common interest, Jean-Claude Larrieu became the chronicler of this life, more bohemian by nature than by decision.
