Geng Xue est née en 1983 à Baishan, dans la province de Jilin (Chine). Elle vit et travaille à Pékin. Suite à ses études de sculpture (2007) et de lithographie (2014) à l’Académie centrale des Beaux-arts de Pékin, elle a participé à des résidences et à des programmes d’échange en France et à Pékin (Prix YISHU 8), aux USA, en Corée du Sud, au Royaume-Uni, au Japon, en Irlande et en Allemagne.
Ses œuvres appartiennent désormais à des collections à travers le monde. Elles ont été exposées à la Biennale de Venise (Italie) 2017, à la Galerie nationale d’Indonésie, à la Michigan State University (USA), à Art 16 (Londres, UK), à Art Paris (France), à la Klein Sun Gallery (New-York), au National Museum of Wales (UK), à l’exposition China 8 (Allemagne), au Holland Animation Film Festival (Universiteitsmuseum, Utrecht), et à Art Miami (USA), entre autres.-
Geng Xue (1983, Bashan, Jilin province) lives and works in Beijing. She was trained in Sculpture (2007) and Print (2014) at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing and participated in residencies and exchange programs in France and Beijing (Prix YISHU 8), USA, South Korea, UK, Japan, Ireland and Germany.
Her work has now been included in collections across the world and exhibited at the 2017 Venice Biennale (Italy), National Gallery Indonesia, Michigan State University (USA), Art 16 (London, UK), Art Paris (France), Kleinsun Gallery New York), National Museum of Wales (UK), China 8 (Germany). Holland Animation Film Festival (University Museum, Utrecht), Art Miami (US) and other places.
